From action to animated, this list has it all

In the past few months, many new exciting movies have been advertised and/or released. From action to comedy to animated movies, this is a rundown on the movies that are currently playing and the ones to be anticipated.

The Boss

This movies is starring one of everyone’s favorite comedians, Melissa McCarthy. McCarthy stars as a successful business woman that stands as the richest woman in America. After information is exposed about her illegal insider trading, her bank account is frozen, and she is sent to prison. After she is released, she finds herself being viewed as a con artist rather than the sweetheart she was once viewed as. On average this movie has received a 2.5/5 star rating and has had mixed reviews, however it is probably a comedy that you don’t want to miss.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

For fans of superhero movies, and there are quite a few, this movie is a must see. It focuses on two of the most iconic superheroes known, Batman and Superman. Two years after the destructive battle between Superman and Zod left the city of Metropolis devastated, Bruce Wayne or Batman, played by Ben Affleck, has become convinced that Superman, played by Henry Cavill, is a large threat to humanity. Wayne then decides to plan a way to overthrow Superman’s reign on Earth, while Lex Luthor also planned to destroy the man of steel. Scoring a solid 3.5/5 stars, this movie is definitely worth seeing.

Finding Dory

Finding Dory is a movie continuing the beloved story Finding Nemo. This movie is being released on June 17, 2016, and is being highly anticipated by many people. Starring Ellen Degeneres as Dory, this movie is something to look forward to. The movie takes places six months after the end of “Finding Nemo.” After the beloved blue tang fish recalls her childhood memories. Remembering something about the “jewel of Morro Bay, California,” she sets out to find her family with the help of Nemo and Marlin. When she arrives at the Monterey Marine Life Institute, she meets fellow sealife, Bailey, Destiny and Hank, who becomes her guide.

Suicide Squad

Last but certainly not least is “Suicide Squad,” which is being released on August 5. Based on the DC comics, the movie focuses on a secret government agency, known as “Task Force X,” led by Amanda Waller, which recruits imprisoned supervillains to eliminate dangerous black ops missions, in exchange for peace, and saving the world from an unknown but powerful threat. The movie stars Will Smith as Deadshot, an outstanding marksman and assassin, as well as other well-known actors and actresses, including Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis.
