Mahiscan in Crisis

By Hector McKemey

It was just about 4:00 p.m. on an increasingly cold Wednesday night at Mamaroneck High. Inside the Mahiscan room, editors were just finishing up their final changes for the day. It was just a typical day at the office.

Unfortunately, each member of the staff thought someone else had saved their pages. This unholy reliance is very unprofessional, but it often works. Not this time…

In an act of unfortunate obliviousness, the editors left the room and turned off the computers, unaware of the error. On Thursday, the disaster became apparent. No one had even saved the original document as a save as!

To make matters worse, the Mahiscan has to use the Palmer computer lab to print up this year’s issue, due to its printer breaking down. The issue will be released on July 23, 2017, and will cost a mere $200. The editors-in-chief will repeat their senior years to see it completed. The Globe’s thoughts and prayers go out to the Mahiscan’s friends and family, and all that have been affected.
