This year, the show has expanded to include work from Design Studio 1, a new course, for the first time ever, and it is expected that more projects than ever before have been inserted for the Art Foundation course. At least one piece from each student taking an art course at MHS is in the show such as art foundation, to drawing and painting, advanced drawing and painting, A.P art, clay, photo, or design. The art show gives students of all art programs starting from art foundation through A.P. art a chance to display the amazing projects in which they invest their time and energy.

Some of the specific work that has been selected for students of different art courses includes abstract and contrast exploring work for art foundation, and for intermediate and advanced level courses will be showing work from various in class and homework assignments.

People come to the art show for lots of different reasons. “My favorite thing about the art show is how we blend together work from all media, all ages, intoone cohesive exhibit,” Adam Rizzuti, one of the art teachers at MHS said. “Seeing students excitement about their work and chatting with parents for the first time since Back-to-School night makes it one of my favorite nights of the year. The large spread of homemade food that lasts for days isn’t such a bad thing either.”

The Art Show opened Dec. 17 and will be available to view during school hours until late January.
